Our Program
Founded in 2001, the Saratoga Stampede has provided summer baseball opportunities for Saratoga County athletes from age 12-18.

The Stampede won The ENYTB Last Man Standing Tournament in several age groups in 2021, 2022, and 2023, as well as local and regional travel tournaments. The team/program will run continuously from the Fall 2022 season through the Summer 2023 season.
Stampede is entering its 20th year in the community, making it the most experienced travel baseball program in Saratoga County. They have been able to afford many student-athletes opportunities to play competitive baseball, as well as continue their careers in college and beyond. We field players from Saratoga, Schuylerville, Ballston Spa, Spa Catholic, and many schools in the Adirondack Region.

NYS Baseball Hall of Fame 2017. Head Coach at Union College which has won it's Conference Championship 4 times in the last 6 years, advancing to the NCAA tournament.
Has had 1 player drafted into MLB (Jake Fishman-Toronto Blue Jay's, currently in AA New Hampshire). 4 players 1st team National All American's, 3 2nd team National All Americans and 2 3rd team National All Americans.
Currently 3rd in All Time wins in Union College History. Played Baseball for Amsterdam High School and played for the team that held a record 77 game winning streak.

Phonsey Lambert
NYS Baseball Hall of Fame 2015. Head Coach at Saratoga Central Catholic. Has coached MLB star pitcher Tim Stauffer. Coach ranks in the very top of the list in All Time wins in New York State High School Baseball History. Has had countless players go on to College baseball success at all levels, D1,D2,D3,JUCO. Coach is also a member of the Saratoga Springs Athletic Hall of Fame.

Dale Long
NYS Baseball Hall of Fame 2015. Son of MLB great Dale Long. Coach Long has had a long storied career in baseball at all levels. Union College, All Time Albany Twilight League Team. Asst. Coached at Saratoga Central Catholic, helping the program to one historic winning season after another. Coach Long managed the Stampede to New York State Championships in 2009, 2010, 2012.

14U Head COach (Red)
Leejay Pollacchi
Stampede Alum who led the Stampede in Avg. Hits, Runs, Stolen Bases. Coach Pollacchi also led the Stampede to a final 4 finish in the New York State Championships. Coach was a star athlete at Saratoga High School, he went on to have a tremendous 4 year career as the starting CF at Skidmore College. He was the fastest player in Stampede History. Coach went on to play professionally in the Peco's league, playing for the Alpine Cowboy's in West Texas. In addition, Coach is a trainer and nutritional coach and a former Head Coach in South Carolina for a 13U developmental baseball league.

Levi Washburn
Stampede Alum who led the program to a final 4 finish in the New York State Championships in 2009. Coach was a star Baseball player at Schuylerville HS, HVCC and RPI. a member of RPI's front line pitching rotation during the school's constant run to conference championships. Coach Washburn is a great teacher of hitting and pitching mechanics and bring positive energy to our program.
