Championship Baseball

Founded in 2001, the Saratoga Stampede has provided summer baseball opportunities for Saratoga County athletes from age 13-18.

The Stampede is entering its 23rd year in the community, making it the most experienced travel baseball program in Saratoga County. We are able to provide many student-athletes opportunities to play competitive baseball here in the Saratoga area. A significant number of our players have gone on to successful college careers. We field players from Saratoga, Schuylerville, Ballston Spa and Spa Catholic school districts, as well as many schools in the Adirondack Region.

The Stampede plays in the Eastern New York Travel Baseball organization (ENYTB), and also participates in various tournaments, including Showcase Tournaments, PBR events (Gold division teams), and local and travel tournaments.

The 14u Red and 16u Red, Summer 2022 teams both earned championship wins in the ENYTB end of season Last Man Standing tournament. 16u Red also won championships in 2021 and 2020. The Stampede won New York State Championships in 2009, 2010, 2012, in addition to numerous other local and regional championships along the way.

Saratoga Stampede is managed by numerous experienced coaches, including 3 New York State Hall of Fame inductees, along with many local high school coaches.

Areas of Training

Professional Experience

Our staff is a hand picked group of coaches featuring many Saratoga Stampede Alumni, local high school coaches, as well as 3 NYS Hall of Fame coaches. They bring many years of high school, collegiate and professional experience to the field with our teams.

Development

The Stampede Baseball Program has a purpose, and that is to provide baseball players with the ability to play at the next level. Training baseball players to play at the high school level, collegiate level and beyond is our whole purpose and function.

Field Work

Our program aims to provide player development with fine tuning of skills. Our teams do not solely function as tournament teams. It is our training that we bring to the games. It is our training that makes us better.

League & Tournament Play

Depending on the age level (13u-17u), we participate in the Eastern New York Travel Baseball League (ENYTBL), as well as American Legion Baseball for league play. We also participate in local and travel tournaments, as well as College Showcase Tournaments for additional game experience & competitive game play.

camps & clinics

In addition to our team programs, we will run camps and clinics that athletes can sign up for on their own. These will include but are not limited to Skills Clinics, Speed Training Camps, and Skill Building Camps.

Scouting & Showcases

General Manager & President Paul Mound has years of experience scouting and developing young athletes and helping them find homes at the collegiate and professional level. He is also the Head Baseball Coach at Union College, and a NYS Hall of Fame Inductee.
